Interrupt

Interrupt is a large painting installation responding to the nature of the Country Park that it is located within. The installation is designed to fit the opening from the trees to the water, making this piece a perfect site-specific response to the park. 

The installation focuses on pushing the city centre into the country scene by using the painting to interrupt the expected view from the opening. The painting was created on perspex sheets so that the original view is still apparent within the painted city scene. 

Carefully placed with gaps between, the spectator is still able to walk through the artwork to the water front, allow them to become immersed in the aspects of the two contrasting scenes at once.
